Expect many devotional acts towards mothers in general and the Queen in particular throughout the weekend. Alcohol will not be served in many locations on Monday throughout Thailand, as a show of respect. Some Thai people will try and get Friday off to turn this into a longer four-day weekend in order to be with their family during this family and royal holiday.
